From 1st October 2017, Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) has joined together to create a new Foundation Trust which has been named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is the leading Trust for teaching, research and specialist services in the North West of England.

The Clinical Trials Pharmacy supports the medicines aspects of clinical trials to a large number of speciality areas as well as dedicated separate adult and paediatric Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facilities. As a tertiary referral centre we are involved in novel treatments for many rare conditions and have established systems in place to support these.

You must have excellent attention to detail and be able to follow procedures closely in this tightly regulated environment. Good written and oral communication skills are needed together with a willingness to work in a team environment

You will be involved in a rapidly expanding adult and children’s pharmacy clinical trials service. We have good working relationships with the various Clinical Trials research teams throughout the Hospital including on-site adult and paediatric specialist research facilities.

This is a rare opportunity to gain a job that will enable you to specialise and gain experience in the pharmacy aspects of clinical trials  and experience in one of the largest NHS Trusts in the UK.

You must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.  You must be able to work accurately, quickly and under pressure, have a good eye for detail, be able to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines and be committed to deliver a high standard patient focused service. Our department has a genuine good balance of professionalism, friendliness and a healthy attitude to "getting the job done".

In return we will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be appraised on a yearly basis with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate
