An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced neonatal transport nurse to join Connect NW - a newly formed dedicated neonatal transport service for the NW of England. You will role model high standards of care to patients and their families and strive for continuing excellence in all areas. As the team leader, you will have an active role in supporting junior staff and develop key responsibilities for clinical governance. You will contribute to the management of the service, supporting the Lead Nurse and Clinical Director and possess good IT, organisational and analytical skills.

The service will initially be based on two operational sites in Manchester and Liverpool with a single management and governance structure, hosted by Central Manchester Foundation NHS Trust. The expectation is that the service will move to a single operational base within the next two years.

As a senior neonatal nurse with proven experience in a neonatal transport setting, you’ll have a high level of clinical expertise. You will be capable of managing your workload and supervising that of others, and you’ll have a flexible approach with strong communication skills.

The post will be available on a full time basis within Neonatal Transport and will be based predominantly on the Liverpool site initially. You will have a flexible and proactive approach to help drive improvements, ensuring a safe, high quality service for newborn infants and families in the North West and North Wales.
