Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) and the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (UHSM) will join together to create a new Foundation Trust in October 2017 which will be named Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust; subject to required approvals.   Following this, the plan is for North Manchester General Hospital (which is currently part of The Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust) to join the new organisation around 12-18 months later.

As a result of this plan, it’s such an extremely exciting and challenging period in the delivery of health and social care in Greater Manchester and one that provides a wealth of opportunity. Our new organisation will provide a single hospital service across the city of Manchester and in 12- 18 months will also include the services currently provided by North Manchester General Hospital.  These changes will make a real difference to the health outcomes and quality of life for the people of Manchester. 

An opportunity has arisen for two individuals to join the Estates Team based at Trafford Hospital. You will be responsible for Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance and small works at sites managed from the Trafford Division and the day to day management of the Estates Team and Helpdesk.

You will be responsible for management of the CAFM system and its improvement and development and required to ensure that all buildings, plant and infrastructure are maintained safely and cost effectively within agreed statutory requirements, in accordance with NHS and the Trust policies and procedures.

You will be self-motivated and enthusiastic, with excellent communication skills together with an ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and meet targets.

You should have:-

- Completed a recognized apprenticeship in an electrical or mechanical discipline.

- Hold a recognized qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline.

- Significant Estates Maintenance experience
